We're thrilled to share some of our latest advancements in artificial intelligence that are helping reshape the way we manage crops. Our newest AI technology has successfully detected broadleaf weeds in a wheat field in Victoria during the 2024 winter season, showcasing a leap forward in precision agriculture.
This innovation is part of an ongoing collaboration with the Grains Research and Development Corporation and Bayer | Crop Science. Together, we are working on an AI-enabled green-on-green solution that integrates drone-to-tractor weed detection, a promising technology designed specifically for the grains industry. The vision is to create a seamless system where AI-driven drones and tractors work together to target and manage weeds, saving resources and increasing efficiency for farmers.
Over the past winter, we collected vast amounts of drone imagery from various regions across Australia to enhance and refine our AI’s weed detection capabilities. This data not only strengthens our technology but also brings us closer to a future where AI is a standard tool in sustainable farming.
Stay tuned as we continue to push the boundaries of AI in agriculture, bringing innovative solutions to the fields and transforming farming with technology!
